A Team Approach
The best kind of rural healthcare system is one that provides comprehensive primary care with access to specialists and onsite support services such as lab, X-ray and physical therapy. Even better is an electronic system that gives medical providers one-click computer access to test results, and patients computer access to their health records. We do both. To access your North Coast Family Health Center medical record electronically, just click on the “Patient Portal” link at the top right of this screen.

As part of an ongoing commitment to improve quality of care, North Coast Family Health Center (NCFHC) began using electronic health records (EHR) beginning April 23, 2013.
Our goal is to improve the quality of care provided. In October 2014, we launched the Patient Portal. By clicking the link on this web page, or by visiting www.nextmd.com, patients can access their medical records online from their personal computer or mobile device. Patients can also email the practice directly via the portal’s secure messaging feature to request appointments and ask medical questions.
The many advantages of using an EHR include the fact that patients often increase participation in their health care. The coordination of a patient’s care becomes more efficient with an EHR, and the speed of information traveling to pharmacies and other provider offices improves. The EHR’s built-in alerts can help to identify abnormal lab results, potential medication interactions, and due dates for preventive care and immunizations.
North Coast Family Health Center employees, physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants consistently score well above the national average in patient experience! Our staff provides great service to our patients. They care about our patients and work closely together to provide the best care possible. We consider it an honor that our patients rate us so highly.
Patient satisfaction scores are tracked by NRC/Picker, a national organization specializing in monitoring the patient experience. North Coast Family Health Center is compared to over 850,000 other clinic Providers. The surveys are mailed to patients and NRC/Picker calculates the results and provides NCFHC their anonymous results as shown below. (Download full NRC report)
